INSPIRATION embraced combining contrasts and was derived from both natural and man made pattern sources. Links were made throughout personal photography, connecting similar synergies together.

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT progressed with strong illustrations using oversized markers & thin liners to extract pattern information with bold, monochromatic results. On finalising a contemporary, fun colour palette textural, hand painted and digital patterns were created. A series of collages combined multiple elements of previous work to form original designs.

FINAL PRINTS feature a variation of pattern styles including;

collage | floral | painterly | abstract | geometric |

Natural cotton & linen fabrics were both digitally then hand printed with reactive dyes. Specific materials with synthetic elements allowed further fabric manipulation with laser-cutting and pleating. The final collection resulted in unique fabrics to be cherished with bold patterns and 3 dimensional intriguing finishes.
